Examples of Duties Performed
- Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders with laboratory and research functions
- Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects
- Perform experiments and tabulate and analyze research
- Support analytical testing process...
- Prepare lab for daily operations...
- Provide animal care related to research studies, as necessary
- Pick up, transport, and maintain results, samples...
- Dispose of laboratory materials...
- Review, complete and process logs...
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
- Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet lab
- Two years of clinical research experience (oncology preferred)
- Experience with molecular or immunology lab techniques
- Phlebotomy experience
- Previous oncology experience
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniques
- Understanding of basic molecular biology and ability to interpret basic data
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
- Proficient daily use with MS Office software...
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position has been established at $40,280 to $51,236.
