Environmental and Social Sustainability Lab Sr. Analyst
The Environmental and Social Sustainability Lab (ESSL) is a community of scholars working to improve scientific understanding of sustainability in an interdisciplinary context. Our faculty, students, and research staff represent a range of social science perspectives, and are focused on managing and conserving our environment and natural resources. The lab facilitates cooperation between faculty, students, local government, and other stakeholders and provides resources to advance research and understanding of the societal drivers of environmental action.
The ESS Lab Sr. Analyst duties are as follows:
- Manages campus sustainability survey, including coordinating with multiple campus stakeholders, analyzing data, writing up report, and sharing data/results with collaborators;
- coordinates ESSREP subject pool;
- works on additional projects generally of moderate scope and complexity;
- oversees and manages access to lab facilities, equipment, software, and other resources;
- responsible for lab facilities maintenance, training, and scheduling;
- serves as informal and formal resource for less experienced colleagues (graduate and undergraduate students, research staff);
- manages communications with internal and external stakeholders;
- promotes lab internally and externally.
Required education: Bachelors degree in a relevant social science discipline (e.g., communications, marketing, sociology, psychology, anthropology, environmental social sciences) or equivalent experience.
Desired education: Masters degree in a relevant social science discipline (e.g., communications, marketing, sociology, psychology, anthropology, environmental social sciences)
Required Skills and experience:
- 4 years of relevant experience
- High degree of professionalism
- Comfortable mentoring junior and peer scholars
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently on routine matters while receiving general guidance on new projects
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative empirical research
Desired Skills and experience:
- Interest in environmental and social sustainability
- 4-8 years of relevant experience
- Experience conducting quantitative data analyses (e.g., in SPSS, STATA, SAS, R, etc)
- Experience collaborating with academic and non-academic stakeholders
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments

The pay range for this profile is $70,100-$91,600/annual salary. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units available budget, and the candidates qualifications
