New Zealand's only Veterinary Teaching Hospital is seeking a Practicing Veterinarian/Senior Practicing Veterinarian’s in Equine Surgery. This is a full-time ongoing position based on the Manawatū campus in Palmerston North.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role
In this role, you will provide clinical surgery services to clients of the Equine Veterinary Clinic within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital as well as provide clinical and more formal teaching to veterinary undergraduates and residents. Participation in research and related scholarly activity is not required, but opportunities to engage in research are available if desired. Depending on the

appointment level, you will also contribute to organisation of clinical teaching, and mentorship of staff. You will work alongside a friendly, talented, and experienced team of veterinarians and technical staff.
Mōu | About you
We are interested in receiving your application if you have/are:
• Previous work experience in equine referral practice is required, and teaching experience is desirable.
• Proven equine surgery experience. A specialist qualification in Equine/Large Animal Surgery or eligibility to sit an examination in the aforementioned, is desirable, but not mandatory. Fellows of the ANZCVS or holders of a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) are also encouraged to apply.
• Eligible to work and live in NZ.
• A veterinary professional degree, e.g., BVSc, DVM, VMD etc. from an AVMA-accredited school or one recognised by the New Zealand Veterinary Council to enable registration in New Zealand as a veterinarian.

The salary for this position will depend on skills and experience but will be in the range of $86,113 - $152,712.
