- Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

For this position it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person as permitted by and arguable under sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer (Indigenous Australians) to join Office of the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Business and Law.
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer (Indigenous Australians) supports access, engagement, retention, development, and completion of Indigenous Australian students within the Faculty of Business and Law at QUT. This support is achieved through dedicated student-facing programs and activities to ensure the Faculty is well placed to respond to needs of Indigenous Australian students throughout their academic journey. Located in the Faculty's Specialist Student Support Team, the position provides advice to the Faculty leadership on Indigenous Australian initiatives and supports the development, implementation, and coordination of culturally responsive programs for Indigenous Australian students. In addition, the position liaises with key contacts within the University as well as relevant external groups and communities to support Indigenous Australian student success.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent training or experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated understanding and practical application of the current issues and trends relating to Australian Higher Education and careers for Indigenous Australians.
- Demonstrated high-level analytical skills with evidence of the ability to apply sound judgement and interpret and apply policy.
- Provide accurate and timely information and advice effectively in written and oral communication modes to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner, exercising tact, judgement and discretion when dealing with personal and culturally sensitive matters.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in individual and team contexts, and establish working partnerships with stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.
