- Remuneration: $109,157 to $118,193 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $92,239 to $99,875 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Gardens Point

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Event Co-ordinator to join Student Engagement, Administrative Division.
The Event Coordinator plays a vital role in leading and organising Student Engagement events and activities that foster a strong sense of community and belonging at QUT, while enhancing visibility and reputation within the broader community. The Event Coordinator engages with students, QUT departments and the broader community to plan and deliver on and off-campus events that support QUT’s values and strategic objectives. This position reports to the Events and Community Engagement Team Leader for career planning, development, and performance expectations.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to a degree in a relevant discipline combined with subsequent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating large-scale events and smaller activities that build community, social engagement, and belonging, including the ability to market and promote, manage budgets, evaluate events, and identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to operate methodically with a high degree of attention to detail, undertake comprehensive planning, and utilize organisational skills to prioritize and meet conflicting demands.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and establish meaningful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including supervision of casual staff and delivery of event-related training.
- Demonstrated event industry experience and knowledge of best practices, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks related to event delivery, including knowledge of safe work practices.
