Opportunity to assist with the management and coordination of events and projects at School of Architecture, Design and Planning

HEO 5 Base Salary from $89,755 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Events and Industry Liaison Coordinator works under guidance and makes decisions on the completion of daily tasks related to functions of the office and their key accountabilities. The incumbent is expected to exercise a degree of initiative and judgement in planning work activity, and resolving problems associated with day-to-day operating procedures directly linked to their key accountabilities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • assist, coordinate and execute Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning events aiming to achieve strategic and reputational objectives
  • liaise with all relevant external stakeholders including contractors, caterers etc to ensure smooth execution of all Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning events
  • actively contribute to a team environment that fosters and develops effective working relationships, working collaboratively with academics and other professional staff, showing consideration for colleagues and valuing the contribution of others
  • build relationships and manage project communications with internship and industry stakeholders
  • Provide internship management support for one or more projects underway in the School of Architecture, Design and Planning.

About you

  • experience in events management
  • planning and communication skills together with the ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
  • excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters
  • well-developed interpersonal skills with sound negotiating with a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with diverse stakeholder groups
  • knowledge and/or experience in the UX/UI sector preferred (or an advantage)
  • High level organisational and project management skills.
