Maintains calendar for one or several executives and ensures appropriate preparation for daily activities; may coordinate domestic or foreign travel arrangements. - Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications or a related field and three years of office administration or senior secretarial experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- Previous experience with various personal computer software applications.
- Positions in this classification may require the ability to type or keyboard 60 accurate words per minute.

- The Executive Assistant to the LGS Dean plays a critical role in managing the daily operations in support of the Dean's Office. Reporting to the Dean, the Executive Assistant provides high- level administrative support to both the Dean and Associate Dean-strategically managing schedules, coordinating complex travel, preparing detailed briefings in consultation with the appropriate offices, and ensuring smooth communication across internal and external constituencies.
- This position will provide daily and long-range assistance on a wide range of assignments both internal and external to the division, will provide administrative support to the Dean on a variety of campuswide and/or divisional issues, projects, and programs.
- This position requires an individual who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to anticipate the Dean's needs. A successful candidate must be confident, discreet, and comfortable respectfully challenging ideas in pursuit of the best outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort using a variety of digital platforms and administrative systems.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and software tools.
- The role is primarily in-person, on Emory's main campus.
- Preference will be given to those applicants with experience in higher education working with senior university leadership.
