Executive (Admissions, Financial Aid & Outreach)
Job Description
The Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YST), National University of Singapore, seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Executive (Admissions, Financial Aid & Outreach) to join the Student Life Office.
The individual is an integral member of the YST Student Life Office and will be responsible for administering all admission-related matters at the Conservatory by serving as the primary point of contact for prospective students, support admissions and financial aid processes, coordinate outreach initiatives, and oversee a range of specialised music programmes and workshops.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Admissions & Student Recruitment
- Plan and implement outreach activities to promote YST’s programmes to prospective students in secondary schools, junior colleges, polytechnics, pre-university institutions, and the wider music community.
- Develop and execute student recruitment campaigns across digital and traditional marketing platforms.
- Serve as the first point of contact for admissions enquiries from prospective students, parents, teachers, and educational institutions.
- Administer the YST admissions portal and manage application documentation and records.
- Coordinate all admissions assessment activities, including scheduling auditions, interviews, and securing venues and resources.
- Manage assessment materials, grading processes, and admissions records.
- Prepare and communicate admissions outcomes and related correspondence to applicants.
2) Financial Aid
- Administer student financial assistance schemes, including bursaries, scholarships, and the Student Artistic Development Grant.
- Provide guidance to students regarding financial aid applications and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of financial aid matters.
3) Outreach & External Engagement
- Coordinate and support outreach initiatives, including NUS Open House, YST Open House, education fairs, school visits, and recruitment events.
- Represent the Conservatory at outreach and recruitment activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the NUS Office of Admissions on recruitment campaigns, publications, and admissions-related initiatives.
- Cultivate relationships with schools, music educators, and community partners to strengthen recruitment efforts.
4) Workshops & Special Programmes
- Manage the operational and administrative requirements of specialised music programmes and workshops, including: Young Composers Academy, YST Pianists Academy, YST Orchestra Academy and the YST Vocal Academy
- Work closely with faculty members, artists, and external stakeholders to ensure successful programme delivery.
