Duties
The appointee will be required to:
- (a) plan, coordinate and organise marketing and promotional activities and events, including but not limited to seminars, conferences, talks, visits and summer schools;
- (b) develop and implement engagement activities for students, alumni and School ambassadors to support recruitment, brand visibility and community building;
- (c) carry out partnership outreach and provide administrative support for partnership development and stewardship, including preparing agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) pertaining to collaborative PhD programmes and other academic partnership initiatives, with a specific focus on partners based in the Chinese Mainland;
- (d) evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of activities and propose enhancements for pursuing excellence and impact;
- (e) prepare agreements, proposals, reports and presentation materials, etc. in a professional manner;
- (f) compile and analyse statistical data and survey results;
- (g) serve on committees and other working groups and/or task forces;
- (h) establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders; and
- (i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.
The appointee may be required to travel outside Hong Kong occasionally.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
- (a) have a recognised degree plus at least five years of solid post-qualification work experience, preferably with supervisory experience gained in tertiary institutions;
- (b) be proactive and self-motivated with effective interpersonal and communication skills;
- (c) have excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure;
- (d) possess a good analytical and open mindset and be able to make prudent judgement;
- (e) have strong organisational and problem-solving skills as well as a high level of computer literacy;
- (f) be able to work independently and collaboratively as a good team player, and build strong working relationships with stakeholders; and
- (g) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with native-level fluency in Putonghua being a distinct advantage.
Applicants with less supervisory experience may be considered for appointment at a lower band.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
