Executive Support and Governance Administrator

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an organised and proactive Executive Support and Governance Administrator to join the Professional Services Team within the School of Archaeology. This varied role provides dedicated support to the Head of School and Head of Administration and Finance, alongside coordinating the administration of the School’s governance structures.

You will manage complex diaries, coordinate meetings and travel, prepare papers and correspondence, and support a range of School activities, events and projects. You will also play a key role in supporting the School’s committee structure, including agenda preparation, minute taking, action tracking and maintaining governance schedules and deadlines.

About you

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and work effectively with colleagues at all levels. You will have experience providing high-quality administrative support, drafting correspondence and meeting papers, and coordinating competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. Experience supporting governance processes or senior staff would be advantageous.

The School of Archaeology is one of the leading archaeology departments in the world, bringing together prehistoric, classical, historical and science-based archaeology within a vibrant and collaborative academic community.
