"Extension Agent-Haywood County"

Tennessee State University Office of Extension Services invites applications for the Extension Agent 4-H position in Haywood County. The successful candidate will be a member of the TSU and Haywood County Extension.

This position is 60% Community Resource Economic Development and 40% 4-H Youth Development and 40%. This position will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting county extension Community Resource Economic Development and 4-H Youth Development educational programs as needed in the county.

In addition, this position includes planning, executing, and evaluating programs, events, and activities through traditional 4-H clubs, project groups, educational workshops, camps, conferences, and special interest classes involving such topics as leadership development, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

Program delivery methods will involve volunteer recruitment, site and home visits, phone calls, workshops, newsletters, media, etc. The Extension Agent will develop and maintain good public relations with educational officials, collaborative agencies, program sponsors and elected and appointed officials. This position will plan, execute, and evaluate the 4-H programs based on County, State and Federal Programs and clientele needs. He/She will perform other related duties as required by County and Regional, and State Extension Administrators.
