Facilities Compliance Supervisor

Facilities Compliance Supervisor

Are you passionate about compliance, safety, and operational excellence? We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Compliance Supervisor to lead our compliance team and ensure our diverse estate remains safe, legally compliant, and operationally efficient.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of 8 Compliance Operatives, overseeing statutory and internal compliance inspections across academic, administrative, and residential buildings.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive compliance activities, ensuring all inspections and remedial actions are completed to the highest standards.
  • Manage compliance schedules for fire safety, Legionella, emergency lighting, and more, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
  • Act as the main point of contact for compliance-related queries, building strong relationships with Estates, Health and Safety, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyse compliance data, produce reports, and drive continuous improvement in compliance processes.
  • Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

About You

You will have:

  • Experience supervising facilities or compliance teams, ideally within a large or complex estate.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
  • Proficiency in compliance systems, reporting tools, and data analysis.
  • A sound understanding of statutory compliance requirements (e.g., fire safety, water hygiene).
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience (IOSH/NEBOSH certification desirable).
  • The ability to travel between multiple sites and occasionally work outside normal office hours.
