The College has various unique programs including Aviation Technology (Flight), Aviation Maintenance Technology, Park Ranger Law Enforcement Academy (P.R.L.E.A.) Academy and the Paleontology Plan of Study. We also offer great opportunities for our students in Nursing, Dental Hygiene, and Automotive Technology. The college provides AA, AS, AAS, and certificate programs so students have excellent choices in their degree plans. Additionally, we provide a BAS in Dental Hygiene.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The overall responsibility of this position is to coordinate all Facilities efforts on the CNCC Rangely Campus and assist the Senior Facilities Manager as needed to help maintain a secure and well-functioning work and learning environment. A large part of this position includes managing the CNCC Fleet program, tracking fleet milage and preventative maintenance schedules, as well as coordinating repairs for fleet vehicles. Additional responsibilities will be to check and test all structures and systems (e.g. fire alarms and air-conditioners) on a regular basis and identify needs for repairs and renovations.
This position will also assist the Senior Facilities Manager to coordinate with external vendors, process invoices and purchase orders. The successful candidate should be well-organized and able to prioritize multiple issues, as well as have good working knowledge of basic office equipment and computer systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Ensure that health and safety standards are met and arrange for repairs when needed
- Work with the Senior Facility Manager to schedule maintenance of equipment and internal systems (e.g. heating system, alarms, security cameras)
- Coordinate State Fleet Program, track milage, prepare reports, schedule preventative maintenance and repairs on all vehicles.
- Check rooms and furniture to identify needs for repairs or renovations
- Assist with regular interior and exterior building and grounds maintenance as needed (e.g. snow removal, mowing, trash removal, event set-up and breakdown, etc.)
- Restock supplies as needed
- Assist the Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the schedule for cleaning and disinfecting the building
- Monitor activities that happen outside the building, such as proper waste disposal and recycling
- Assist the Director, Human Resources and the Rangely Campus Manager to coordinate office and parking space allocation
- Keep track of regular and ad-hoc facility expenses
- Working alongside the Senior Facility Manager to compare costs and benefits when evaluating new vendors
- Maintain an updated record of invoices from external partners (e.g. suppliers, insurance agents, security guards) for the Rangely Campus.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM/ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training/Prior relayed experience:
- High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 3+ years previous experience in the field.
- Experience with a fleet Program
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel, as well as the ability and willingness to obtain a CDL within six months of employment.
Software Skills:
- Computer proficiency including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Equipment Skills:
Working knowledge of various types of maintenance and office equipment, such as but not limited to:
- Industrial mowers
- Snowplow
- Weed Eater/trimmer
- Computer/printer/email
- Security cameras/systems
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, administration and external stakeholders. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to be self-directed under general supervision
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to function effectively in a complex interdepartmental and team environment.
- Willingness to develop new skills as needed
- Excellent customer service skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Equipment/Software Skills/Other:
- Knowledge of Banner software.
- Experience in Higher Education within Student Services or another relevant division (e.g., Academics, Business Office).
