Join our dedicated Facilities Management team and play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our campus environment. As a Facilities Officer, you’ll be responsible for delivering a wide range of maintenance and service activities across internal and external spaces, ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming.
This hands-on role involves more than routine maintenance—you’ll assist with furniture relocations, office setups, and event preparations, while also supporting general facilities requests as directed by management. Working within a small, collaborative team, you’ll apply your technical skills and problem-solving ability to keep our campus running smoothly and efficiently.
About the person
The successful candidate will hold a recognised trade qualification and bring at least four years of relevant maintenance or mixed-trades experience. You’ll be confident using standard tools and equipment, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Key attributes include:
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks, and deliver quality outcomes
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting work areas, materials, and products for compliance with standards
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and commitment to safety and quality practices
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Experience in an education or similar environment will be highly regarded.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $77,747.23 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with your skills, qualifications, and experience.
Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to 2 years, with 12 months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
