Description

Leads day-to-day level one custodial operations. Identifies and reports maintenance and grounds issues within assigned areas. Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the University infrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuous connections for the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the employee from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.

1. Leads and trains custodians within assigned areas.
2. Inspects custodial work in assigned areas and reports grounds and maintenance issues to Area Supervisor.
3. Assists in the coordination of custodial daily work assignments and tracking of reported maintenance and grounds items through completion.
4. May act on behalf of Supervisor within the assigned area.
5. Records daily time sheets for assigned custodial work crew.
6. Maintains custodial supplies in janitorial closets.
7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ: Education: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED.

Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

Certification/Licensing: None

Preferred: Requires a valid Texas Driver's License.
