Position Summary
The Facilities Services Manager provides overall management and oversight of the Knight Law Center... The Facilities Services Manager reports to the Associate Dean for Finance and Operations.
Work schedules are determined by the operational needs of the building and scheduled events and may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Special requirements for this position include the following:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to work outdoor events and perform exterior maintenance duties.
- Ability to qualify for and maintain University of Oregon driver's certification, including holding a valid Oregon driver's license throughout employment in this position.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience in a facilities related position.
- Two years of progressive facility management experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience for every year of education.
- One year of project supervisory experience OR two years of leadership experience directing the work of others.

- Strong organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to manage tasks where successful collaboration and coordination with others is essential for operations.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in troubleshooting/problem-solving difficult or complex issues.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (or similar software).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing higher education facilities.
- Professional experience in implementing and managing facility safety regulations and protocols.
- Professional experience with financial and administrative policies, rules, and procedures.
- Professional work experience in project management.
