Facility Operations Assistant 1 (Linen Services) - Full Time Night Shift

Position Summary

At Stony Brook Medicine, a Facility Operations Assistant 1 performs a variety of routine manual tasks, requiring medium to heavy physical effort, to assist in maintaining, constructing, and repairing buildings, roads, offices, other structures, furniture, facilities, and grounds.

Duties of a Linens Facility Operations Assistant 1 may include the following but are not limited to:

• Deliver clean linens to units as directed.
• Pick up soiled linen from units as directed.
• Make repairs to carts and/or linen transport equipment.
• Perform other related laborer tasks as assigned.
• Must maintain a neat appearance and be outfitted in the department uniform each day.

Qualifications

Required: Must be physically able to perform the duties assigned. The ability to read, write, speak and understand verbal communication at a basic level.

Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalency.
