Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor, and able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. Candidates may be expected to be qualified to use negative pressure respirators. Valid NYS drivers license required.

OPERATING NEEDS:

Ability to perform a variety of routine unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks related to heating and / or air-conditioning plant or in the mechanical equipment rooms of University owned buildings.

Ability to participate in in-service training courses and on-the job instruction in the fundamentals of utility plant operation and engineering.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; work from heights, both on platforms and ladders up to 20 feet, and navigate stairs throughout duration of shift.

Valid NYS driver's license required.
