Job Description
The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking a Research Maintenance Technician. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for MURR facility support. This role will provide support to lab personnel and will assist in competing lab and facility maintenance. This position will also support project specific activities. The position will complete personnel requests of office moves, furniture installation and any other miscellaneous requests.
Key Duties Performed by This Position Will Include
The primary purpose of the position is to provide support to the personnel and the facility by supporting lab and facility maintenance activities as well as project-specific tasks. The position will complete personnel requests for office moves, furniture installation, and any other miscellaneous requests.
- Cleaning up construction waste from projects.
- Special projects such as moving and storing furniture or office equipment as required.
- Coordinate with Health Physics personnel to remove project related tools and material from the facility safely.
- Assist with removal of unused equipment to Surplus properties.
- Coordinate with MURR lab users to complete technical equipment installations.
- Coordinate with all groups as necessary to MURR to bring materials into the facility in support of facility projects.
- Assist Campus Facilities maintenance activities as necessary.

Shift
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a nuclear facility
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
