Work content and job description
The successful candidate will conduct research in the research field specified below. The candidate will also be responsible for graduate-level education in the Subprogram in Applied Physics and undergraduate-level education in the College of Engineering Sciences, School of Science and Engineering. Teaching responsibilities will include foundational courses, such as mathematics and physics, as well as specialized courses, including undergraduate thesis research.
Research area: One of the following fields: Nanometrology and Mathematical Engineering; Optical and Quantum Measurement; Biomedical Engineering; Quantum Beams and Plasma; Advanced Electronics; Nanostructured Functional Materials; Power Electronics and Wide-Bandgap Semiconductors; or Spintronics and Magnetics. Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and the year-end/New Year holidays (December 29 through January 3).
Overtime and other explanations: Discretionary labor system for professional work. Deemed working hours: 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work may be required for entrance examinations, university-wide events, and other temporary duties.
