Faculty Position, School of Robotics

Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is seeking candidates for a faculty position in the School of Robotics at the XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang).

Academic Discipline: Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics, Intelligent Controls, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Mobile Robotics, Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics, Applied Mathematics.

Location: Taicang, Greater Suzhou, China.

About XJTLU: In 2006, XJTLU was created by the University of Liverpool and Xi'an Jiaotong University. It offers a unique international education experience with over 100 programs and around 25,000 students.

About Entrepreneur College (Taicang): Launched in 2019, it focuses on developing talents for the 4th Industrial Revolution through Syntegrative Education (SE).

About the School of Robotics: Part of the XJTLU Entrepreneur College, it is jointly developed with Siasun and offers programs like BEng Intelligent Robotics Engineering with Contemporary Entrepreneurship.

Personal Attributes: Candidates should embody SE values, focusing on management skills, international perspective, discipline-specific knowledge, and industry adaptability (MIDI).

Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality teaching, supervise students, provide administrative service, conduct industry-enhanced research, secure grants, and engage in innovative teaching practices.

Essential Qualifications/Experiences: A doctoral degree in relevant fields, experience in coding (e.g., C/C++, Python, ROS), self-motivation for innovative teaching, understanding of SE philosophy, ability to work in English, and strong teamwork.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience: Track record of industry engagement, university teaching experience, relevant industry experience, and experience in problem-based learning.
