Available Position: Professor/Distinguished Professor

Description:

The position is for a full-time Professor or Distinguished Professor. The candidate is expected to have a proven record of scholarly achievement and administrative leadership in academia, industry or government and to teach courses in the graduate and professional programs. It is expected that the candidate will collaborate on various research activities within the center and in multidisciplinary, multi-institutional research throughout the University.

The candidate must have expertise in fundamental and applied research related to the development, design, evaluation, and manufacturing of biomedical devices and apparatuses. Representative areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease
• Medical sports healthcare instrument
• Medical robot
• Medical optical instrument

Qualifications:

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field. The candidate will have an outstanding record of scientific and technical accomplishment, an exceptional potential for world-class research and a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education. Candidates must address, in their letter of interest, their past experiences, current interest or activities, and/or future goals to promote a climate that values diversity and inclusion.
