"Faculty Recruitment at Central University of Karnataka"

Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi, Karnataka, is recruiting for various positions for the 2022-2023 academic year. Positions include Visiting Faculty, Assistant Professor, Research Associates, Language Archivist and Documentation Officer, Laboratory Assistant, Cartographer, and Stenographer/PA to the Head. Employment is on deputation basis or temporary and short-term contract basis in the Centre for Endangered Languages.

Qualifications:

• Visiting Faculty: Ph.D. in Linguistics or allied discipline, with 10 research publications and a total research score of 120 as per UGC regulations.
• Assistant Professor: Master’s Degree in Linguistics or allied disciplines with 55% marks and UGC NET.
• Research Associates: Similar to Assistant Professor.
• Language Archivist and Documentation Officer: Master’s Degree in Linguistics or allied disciplines with 55% marks.
• Laboratory Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; desirable: experience in academic/research labs.
• Stenographer/PA to the Head: 10+2, dictation speed of 80 wpm, and computer knowledge desirable.
• Cartographer: Master’s Degree in Geography/Cartography with experience in GIS.

Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications and database management; experience in language/tribe-based geo-mapping.

Candidate Profile: Complete PG/Ph.D. in relevant discipline and commitment to work.

Job Location: Kalaburagi, Karnataka. Pay Scale varies: Visiting Faculty - Rs. 50,000 PM; Assistant Professor - Rs. 60,000 PM; etc.
