Faculty Support Coordinator

As the Faculty Support Coordinator, you will provide professional administrative and technological support to Michigan Ross faculty. You will contribute to our positive and inclusive work community by building trusting partnerships across the school, dedicated to meeting the academic needs of the faculty. You will report to the Faculty Support Supervisor.
This hybrid position is based in Ann Arbor, MI, with an expectation of a minimum of three days per week on-site. The role may require occasional work outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain that authorization throughout employment.

Teaching/Administrative Support: 70%
- Manage support for faculty through administrative tasks related to teaching.
- Help prepare class materials, presentations, exams, and other materials.
- Support class content platform (Canvas).
- Stay current with accessibility standards, ensuring faculty documents and materials are accessible and compliant (e.g., proper formatting, alt text, and screen reader compatibility).
- Prepare, update, and proofread syllabi.
- Address faculty inquiries and resolve issues.
- Organize and prioritize workload to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Process onboarding and offboarding activities for faculty and staff.
Events/Recruiting: 20%
- Collaborate with area administrators and faculty to plan events of varying scales.
- Arrange travel accommodations for guests.
- Support events for several Ross units.
- Process expense reports.
- Work with the Faculty PhD Advisors to manage administrative tasks related to PhD recruiting.
Other Responsibilities: 10%
- Proofread manuscripts, correspondence, and other materials.
- Format citations and footnotes in publications.
- Stay informed of procedures and communicate with faculty and students to ensure compliance.
- Develop relationships with other departments to enhance services to faculty.
- Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Order and maintain faculty business supplies.
- Help onboard new team members and provide training to team members on departmental processes.
- High school diploma and 2 years of prior administrative support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a customer service role.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft and Google products. We may require skills testing.
The salary offer range for this position is $45,600 to $53,600. Salary offers are determined based on several factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, along with internal equity considerations. It is not common for new hires to be placed at the top of the range.
