Faculty support specialists are employed for one or two semesters of an academic year on a part-time basis. Faculty support specialists work with the assigned faculty on activities that support teaching, advising, grading, technical assistance, and similar activities to enhance student learning. In this role, individuals do not teach or have full responsibility for regular assigned courses.
