Faculty (Teaching or Tenure Track) - Radiological Science

full-time 12-month teaching track position. The successful applicant is expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for each course offered. The functions below are detailed in the faculty handbook in Volume IV of the Institutional Policy Manual. 1. Teach 27 credit hours in the academic year or as otherwise specified by the faculty member's appointment notice; student course evaluations are to be completed in each course. Faculty are expected to employ sound pedagogical practices and to use technology as appropriate, including the University's learning management system. Faculty shall assist with course revisions and curriculum development as needed.2. Achieve appropriate student-learning outcomes in all courses taught.3. Participate in service to the University, the community and to their profession. Attend convocations, commencement exercises and community meetings.4. Participate in ongoing professional development.5. Assist, advise and mentor students enrolled in the University.6. Assist and contribute to the outcomes assessment required for program accreditation by the JRCERT.6. Fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of a faculty member as described in Volume IV of the Gannon University Institutional Policy Manual which contains the approved policies and procedures of the University concerning the terms and conditions of faculty employment at the University. Required Qualifications: Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Sciences program. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in radiologic sciences profession. Licenses and Certifications: Must be a registered technologist (R.T.) that is licensed, and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred or willing to continue pursuit of a bachelor's degree recommended. Experience teaching in an accredited Radiologic Science program. Additional certifications in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or other areas of the radiologic sciences is a plus.
