Fairmont State University Flight Instructors - JOIN OUR DATABASE (2025/2026)

Serves as a flight instructor for Fairmont State University. Will teach flight lessons according to the Fairmont State Part 141 syllabus, including all policies and procedures associated with record keeping. Will instruct on the simulator. Will be responsible for pre- and post-flight briefings. Will report all aircraft problems immediately upon discovery. Will keep safety of student and instructor as our top priority and make decisions accordingly with regard to weather, student knowledge and abilities, and other external factors. Will adhere to schedule as posted by Program Manager and Chief. Assist with recruiting activities, including some travel to regional schools and events. Attend and participate in staff meetings.

Instructors must have FAA-approved CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) or CFII (Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument) ratings.

Work schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: FAA-approved CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) or CFII (Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument) ratings.
