Technical College Faculty - Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor (Unlimited, Full-time)
Program Features:
- Located in Delta Air Lines Building C at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.
- Teaches Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant curriculum (14 CFR Part 147)
- Currently enrolls three cohorts of 25 students each (daytime classes) with a commitment to add two cohorts of 25 students each (evening classes) starting in August 2026.
- Prepares students to pass the FAA Airman Certificate with “A” and “P” ratings written, oral, and practical examinations and obtain employment as aviation maintenance technicians.
- One of 49 Delta Air Lines “preferred” aviation maintenance technician schools with access to and support from one of the nation’s largest airlines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide quality teaching in assigned field of study to a very diverse student population;
- Develop and revise instructional materials;
- Assess student outcomes at the course, department, and College levels;
- Maintain labs, instructional equipment, and tools in a safe, clean, organized, and professional manner;
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain collegial and cooperative work relationships with instructors in the Aircraft Maintenance A&P Technician Program, the Department’s administrators, academic advisors, and support staff, and all College personnel;
- Participate actively in the college community through Aircraft Maintenance Technician Department and School of Trade Technologies meetings and College-wide committee work;
- Utilize campus technology to stay current in the aviation maintenance technician occupation and connect to faculty, staff, and students; and
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities and professional association memberships.
