Job Summary
The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Federal Work Study Student Office Assistant who will work closely with Registrar staff and MGA students assisting with daily clerical and graduation tasks. Student Office Assistants will have the ability to navigate and abide by MGA institutional polices. Student Assistants report directly to the Macon Campus Assistant Registrar. This is a part-time position working up to 19 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Scan, file, copy, mail, shred, and retrieve documents as required by the Office of the Registrar staff.
- Assist students, alumni, and other MGA patrons at the front counter as necessary.
- Maintain acceptable and professional quality phone service and productivity performance.
- Maintain FERPA compliance.
- Performs graduation duties as assigned by the Graduation Coordinator including preparation for the graduation ceremony and post-graduation tasks.
- Must be dependable and prompt while maintaining his/her academic workload and handling a work study job opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
- Be currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours,
- Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- A student worker must have knowledge of computers and different software programs.
- Any prior job experience in an office environment is helpful, but not necessary.
- Student is required to retain Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality.
