The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Fellowship Director for the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery!
Our Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery division is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellence in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. Physicians in the UW Department of Ob/Gyn Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery provide a broad range of basic and specialized medical and surgical services related to complex pelvic floor disorders.
- Participate in the clinical services initiatives of the UW Health System.
- Provide a broad spectrum of distinctive gynecologic care and oversee the continuation and development of clinical niches and focus areas.
- Participate in the direct supervision and training of faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues from urology, colorectal surgery, and GI medicine to advance the pelvic floor disorders program.
The Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellowship program has been in existence for 6 years and will be graduating our third fellow in July 2026. Primary duties as Fellowship Program Director will include organization and oversight of the fellowship educational program, implementation of all necessary policies and procedures, maintenance of all required documentation and correspondence with the ACGME, and providing oversight and direction to the department fellowship coordinator.
Clinical responsibilities include participating in the care of patients at the UW Health and Meriter Hospitals, management of complex pelvic floor disorders, full-time call for urogynecology patients and consults, and building an advanced sub-specialty practice. This position is full or part time, 80%-100%.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a four-year approved/accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn), Board certified or eligible (BC/BE).
- Completion of a three-year board approved fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (FPMRS)/Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery URPS. BC/BE FPMRS/URPS.
- At least four years of post-fellowship Ob/Gyn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred candidate will have completed an approved fellowship in FPMRS/URPS and have significant experience with pelvic floor surgery.
- Preferred candidate will have a track record as an accomplished academic urogynecologist.
- Candidates for Associate Professor (CHS) or Professor (CHS) must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines.
