Job Summary

Supports operations at KSU's field station, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily activities and providing assistance to researchers, staff, and visitors. Involves a combination of administrative tasks, logistical support, and maintenance duties to facilitate research and conservation efforts at the field station.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains cleanliness and organization of field station facilities, including laboratories, and common areas
  2. Assists in basic maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment and infrastructure
  3. Monitors and report on facility conditions and recommend improvements as needed
  4. G greets visitors, researchers, students, and other KSU employees, as needed
  5. Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  6. Supports procurement and inventory management of field equipment and supplies

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Proposed Salary

ABILITIES
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills

This is not a supervisory position.
This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
This position will be required to drive.
This role is considered a position of trust.
This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card).
This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time
