Primary Purpose of the Position:
This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of all financial transactions related to both Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) and the WSSU Foundation on a daily and monthly basis. The role provides oversight and financial management of the University's restricted accounts-including endowments, scholarships, sponsored gifts, and donor-restricted funds-ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on restricted fund activity for senior leadership, University Advancement, and the WSSU Foundation. The position also ensures the timely posting and reconciliation of revenues, expenditures, transfers, and investment earnings. Additionally, this role collaborates with the Controller's Office to support the preparation of financial statements, schedules, and disclosures related to restricted assets.

Preferred Years Experience,Skills, Training , Education:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with UNC System financial policies, state fund accounting, or similar higher education frameworks.
• Familiarity with donor stewardship practices and Advancement/Foundation partnerships.
