FINANCIAL AFFAIRS ASSOCIATE III

To provide technical financial support for an assigned organization unit. To review requests and determine appropriateness with regard to institutional requirements, proper authorization, and conformance with established regulations. To assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of budgets and accounts, review requisitions, and order equipment and supplies. To collect financial information and provide reports and analyses as needed.

This position will primarily work with third-party vendors. Coding students' accounts, preparing invoices for submittal to vendors as well as coordinating with the UAB Veterans Affairs office. Other duties would include providing customer service via phone and email, analyzing students' accounts and other responsibilities as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coding each student (Once charges post to students' accounts)
  • Establish and maintain a daily routine utilizing BlazerNet reports to manage coding the students (500 - 600 students)
  • Invoicing for each student (after extended drop period)
  • Posting payments (each student has to be entered in Banner individually)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $17.95 - $18.49

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Preferred:

  • prior experience in student accounting
  • Strong customer service skills
