Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Play a key role in keeping the University of Waikato running smoothly by coordinating fleet and parking services that support staff, students and visitors every day. In this varied and hands-on role, you will oversee the operational coordination of the University’s vehicle fleet, driver safety processes, and parking services across our campuses —ensuring they operate safely, efficiently and with a strong customer focus.
Working within Property Services and reporting to the Campus Security & Emergency Manager, you will supervise day-to-day fleet and parking activities, maintain compliance and service standards, and contribute to a positive user experience across campuses.
You will manage fleet maintenance and compliance (servicing, WOF/COF, registration, RUC where applicable), monitor utilisation and telematics data, and respond to incidents, damage and user enquiries. You will also coordinate parking operations including permits, system administration, customer support and operational planning for parking compliance and special events.
Working closely with Campus Security and a range of internal teams, you will help ensure policies and processes are understood and followed. You will also coordinate external suppliers, maintain accurate records, and produce KPI and cost reporting to support planning and continuous improvement.
Salary will be in the range of $87,624 to $100,214 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time, permanent role based on our Hillcrest Campus in Hamilton.
