About the role
You will form part of a team providing professional and friendly customer support within our food and retail services at Federation University, Ballarat Campus. You will interact with a diverse range of internal and external clients and visitors within our food and retail space covering a range of functions.
You will:
provide customer service of food and beverages;
manage the cash register and be familiar with cash handling procedures;
maintain the cleanliness of the workplace to ensure both customer and staff safety;
prepare and clear the dining area both prior and after use; and
maintain food displays with fresh and popular saleable items.
About you
You will work independently as well as part of a team and to tight time frames. You will possess the necessary prioritisation skills and ensure completion of appropriate tasks within tight, fast paced timelines with good accurate attention to detail.
You will possess:
a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate;
demonstrated experience in handling food and cleaning commercial kitchens;
ability to work individually and as part of a team; and
demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service to customers.
