Applications accepted all year round
Self-Funded PhD Students Only
About the Project
Microplastics are an emerging global pollutant that persist in the environment and contribute to long-term ecological damage. This project aims to transform this waste material into a sustainable construction resource by investigating the effects of incorporating microplastics into cement mortar used in masonry. The study will evaluate how varying amounts of microplastics influence mortar’s mechanical characteristics, as well as the behaviour of masonry structures.
