The Front of House area at the College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School seeks a highly motivated student to serve as an Usher. The Front of House Department is responsible for the patron experience at on-site events. We are looking for responsible, personable, communicative, and punctual individuals. The usher reports to the Manager of Event Operations and is an ideal position for students interested in a career in performing arts, events, and production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet patrons and answer questions
- Distribute printed programs to patrons
- Assist patrons in finding their seats
- Check in patrons using our app-based check-in system
- Execute stage changes for classical recitals when assigned
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Background and education in the performing arts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years usher experience
- 2 years experience in customer service
WORK MODE
On-Campus Position - Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely.

Hourly Rate: $17.00
Hours per Week: 3-20, on an as-needed basis per performance and event calendar
