FT Professional Support - HR Support-Employment
Job Summary: The Human Resources Department at Lansing Community College models leadership that promotes a caring, committed connection to all areas of the college and demonstrates a commitment to the diversity, inclusion, and access of all individuals. As a key part of that team, the HR Support – Employment position serves as a resource to hiring managers, search committees, and applicants on the functions of the applicant tracking system and HR’s employment processes. This position is responsible for maintaining the College’s applicant tracking system, managing job postings across internal and external sites, and overseeing the full lifecycle of position approvals—from initial request through reviewing, posting, and final closure. The person in this position will collaborate with office administrative support to provide excellent customer service including front-line office coverage, answering phones, and efficient office operations. This position requires organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. HR staff must work effectively in a team-based environment, seek continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Demonstrated work experience in Human Resources (Employment, Recruitment, Onboarding, or related). Demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, etc.). Demonstrated customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Minimum of 3 years of general office experience. Demonstrated experience working with applicant tracking systems.
