The Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS)/State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (QRCM) is a prominent academic center for research and education in Chinese medicine, natural products, and biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences. ICMS/QRCM invites applications for academic positions at the rank of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor.

In line with our commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, we have launched the UM Centre for Immune Regulation within ICMS. This center aims to be a world-renowned hub for groundbreaking research into the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie the immune-regulatory effects of traditional Chinese medicine, natural products, diet, and nutrients. We seek candidates who demonstrate excellence in research and teaching, with a strong background in immunology. The successful applicant will contribute to our mission of pioneering research and engage in collaborative projects.

Qualifications:

• A PhD degree in immunology or a related field such as microbiology, infectious diseases, allergy/asthma, oncology, and rheumatology;
• Study or research experiences at globally renowned institutions;
• A proven track record of exceptional accomplishments in scientific research;
• Expertise in the study of immune regulation mechanisms related to Traditional Chinese Medicine, natural products, diet, and nutrition is highly desirable.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2025/2026.

Remuneration: A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 for Associate Professor, and MOP855,400 for Assistant Professor, commensurate with academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12%, effectively around 5%-7% after exemptions.
