"Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Public Health"

The University of Macau (UM) is an internationalized research-oriented comprehensive public university in the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) located at the west bank of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). UM is placed No. 180 in the THE World University Rankings and placed No. 285 in the QS World University Rankings.

In 2013, UM launched the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) (http://fhs.um.edu.mo/), which aims at providing excellent education programmes, performing outstanding research and delivering dedicated services to the community. FHS established the Department of Public Health and Medicinal Administration (DPM) that aims at fortifying the teaching and research in the area of public health, with particular focuses on traditional public health, hospital management, medicinal administration, infectious diseases, and data science.

DPM of FHS now invites applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Public Health. The candidate is expected to have strong exposure in at least one of the following three areas: traditional public health, hospital management and/or medicinal administration.

Qualifications
A doctoral degree in related biological, health and/or medical studies. Candidate for Assistant Professor should demonstrate a high potential of excellence in research and teaching and is preferable to have at least three years of postdoctoral training. The appointment at the rank of Full Professor and Associate Professor depends on qualification and achievements of the candidate, such as the established international excellence in research and scholarship as a proven record of publications in high calibre international journals.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2025/2026.

Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor; MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience.
