Full-Time Faculty - Accounting, Business, Management, and Marketing

This is a Full-Time, 9-month Academic Faculty position in Accounting, Business, Management, and Marketing, beginning Fall 2025. The primary responsibility is teaching, with additional duties in professional development and service to the college.
Teaching responsibilities include courses in accounting (Intermediate Accounting, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Capstone courses, plus potentially Payroll, Cost Accounting, Advanced Managerial Accounting, and Tax) and business (Legal Environment of Business, Business Communications, Introduction to Business, and general topics in management and marketing).
This role requires the use of computer-based technologies, including online instruction, and application of learning-centered practices such as defining learning outcomes, providing diverse learning activities, using assessment data to improve instruction, and participating in college-wide teaching dialogues. Faculty may teach at any scheduled time, including evenings, weekends, and at various campuses as assigned.
Teaching & Professional Obligations:
- Interact with students to facilitate learning through effective instructional delivery and design.
- Collaborate on assessments and provide high-quality instruction tied to defined outcomes.
- Develop and refine curriculum, adopt new methodologies, maintain office hours, submit syllabi, manage classrooms, and meet other professional obligations.
Scholarly & Creative Activities (Professional Development) & Service to the College:
- Engage in activities contributing to knowledge in the field, such as acquiring certifications, attending conferences, and completing coursework.
- Provide student advising, participate in recruitment and retention, serve on committees, assist in curriculum review, and demonstrate commitment to the College's mission and diversity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA), Master's in Accounting, or related field; or Bachelor's in Business or Accounting with at least 4,000 hours of related work experience.
- Hold or qualify for a full-time, post-secondary vocational credential in Business Technology from Aims Community College, requiring at least 2 years (4,000 hours) of approved experience, with preference for 8,000–10,000 hours or a combination of work and teaching experience.
- Experience teaching business technology courses, ability to use student-centered methodologies, computer literacy, willingness to take relevant classes, positive attitude toward varied teaching modalities, experience with adult learners, and strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in Business or Accounting.
- Experience teaching underserved populations, developing curriculum, excellent communication and human relation skills, strong computer skills, knowledge of emerging business trends, and post-secondary teaching experience.
