Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Institute of Liberal Arts and Science is recruiting full-time faculty members (Cognitive science or other related fields) as follows. https://ilas.w3.kanazawa-u.ac.jp/
Work content and job description
- Research in cognitive and behavioral science and team-based cognitive empowerment (Advance research that integrates brain function, physiological indices, behavioral data, etc., and engage not only in fundamental research but also actively collaborate with external organizations to undertake highly applicable research).
- Teaching graduate courses in the Department of Humanities, Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies on science-related topics such as "Advanced Topics in Behavioral Science" and "Seminar in Behavioral Science" in English and Japanese.
- Teaching Global Standard (GS) Advanced Courses at the undergraduate level for 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students such as "Cognitive Empowerment through Behavioral Science" in English and Japanese.
- Teaching, designing, planning and coordinating "From Foundations to Applications in Cognitive Science" classes in English and Japanese as a GS subject, which is a part of the liberal arts curriculum.

- Wages description: Position and salary are commensurate with the candidate’s academic and employment experiences. Salary and benefits are specified in the regulations of Kanazawa University.

- Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National Holiday, From December 29th to January 3rd of the following year
- Overtime and other explanations: Discretionary Labor System (Deemed working hours: 7.75 hours/day)

- Contract period description: 5-year term, reappointment possible after tenure review. The tenure status will be granted by the procedures of internal tenure review on education, research, and other achievements at a predetermined time prior to the expiration of the term of office. Depending on the results of the tenure review, the appointee can be promoted to a higher position with tenure, or else to be reappointed to the same position with tenure. In the tenure review, an extension of the tenure track period may be approved (up to 3 years). Subsequently, the review will be conducted again in the final year of the extended period.
