The Blinn College District is searching for a Full Time Instructor- Advanced Manufacturing / Mechatronics at our Waller Campus.

Job Summary
To perform the day-to-day operations of the instructional program. To teach courses as scheduled.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide instruction for courses at a variety of times and locations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence.
- Maintain access to students through posted office hours and electronic communication.
- Prepare and utilize a course syllabus and assessments for each course using guidelines established by the institution.
- Maintain current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources.
- Advise students in academic matters.
- Evaluate student performance through a variety of means to measure progress while informing students in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development, distribution and collection of assessments for courses and program objectives.
- Provide recommendations to the Academic Dean, Assistant Dean, Department Heads, and Curriculum Resource Teams regarding curriculum.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional relationship with students, colleagues, college administration, and the community.
- Provide information requested of all faculty.
- Submit timely college reports and forms to the appropriate divisions/departments.
- Exhibit a commitment to lifelong learning through participation in professional development activities.
- Possess a passion for teaching community college students.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and orally.
- Attend college orientation and required institutional meetings.
- Responsible for other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Associate's degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Three (3) years of industry work experience in the subject area.
- Teaching: No prior teaching experience is required (onboarding provided).
- Technical Proficiency: Must have industry experience in several of the following:
- Basic electricity and electronics, robotics, micro-processors.
- Instrumentation, digital logic, industrial motor controls.
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and mechanical drives.
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and AC/DC drives.
- Machinery installation, industrial troubleshooting, and safety.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Preferred Experience and Training
- Teaching experience at the college or secondary level.
- Online teaching experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Five (5) years of industry work experience in the subject area.
- Industry-based certifications.
- Bilingual capabilities.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the physical capability to effectively use and demonstrate equipment trainers used for advanced manufacturing.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
- Must be capable of walking, standing, and bending for 40% of the time.

Work hours: All full-time faculty positions at Blinn College require an on-campus presence of 40 hours per week during regular business hours.

This is a 12 month, benefits eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full-time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits. Optional coverages can begin on your first active duty date. Leave time includes 16 hours personal each year and 8 hours sick leave for each month of contract. Paid leave is provided for college designated holidays, spring break, thanksgiving and Christmas break (approx. 25 days per year).
