Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine

(Ref: 534448) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, clinical medicine or any related disciplines. Graduate research experience or a plan to pursue graduate research would be an advantage. The ability to communicate in Cantonese as well as mastering of good data analysis skills is essential, in particular imaging and big-data analytic skills. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; a proactive problem-solving approach; a strong commitment to high quality research; and the will to persist and persevere through challenges.

The appointee will participate in research on early psychosis, treatment resistant state of schizophrenia and neurodevelopmental disorders utilizing clinical, neurocognitive, biological and neuroimaging approaches. Opportunities for joining study programs using big data analytics and imaging projects under supervision will be provided. He/She will develop and execute research programmes, conduct clinical interviews and neurocognitive assessments with patients, assist in neuroimaging processing, participated in RCT study on exercise and neurostimulation interventions for patients with schizophrenia, and perform data entry and analyses. Opportunities to prepare academic manuscripts will be available. Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 533839) need not re-apply.
