Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time/Part-time Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.:534506) (to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

For the Research Assistant, applicants should at least possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology or related disciplines, with at least one-year post-graduate research experience. Those with interest in the topics of family and mental health are preferred. They should be competent in advanced quantitative analysis (e.g. SEM, multi-level modelling, factor analysis) and experienced in using statistical software (e.g. STATA, SPSS, and R). They should also have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); a strong sense of responsibility; excellent organizational and interpersonal skill; ability to work independently and as a team, and to collaborate with external parties. Those with exceptionally strong research experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in managing research projects and be responsible for literature review, data collection, data analysis, preparation of presentations, drafting proposal and reports, supervision of junior research staffs, and performing any other duties as assigned. The appointee will have ample opportunities to work with scholars, experts, psychologists, social workers, multidisciplinary professionals, and other stakeholders in the local and international community. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
