The Team

The Student Funding and Fee Policy Team sits within the Admissions and Access Department, and we are a lively and supportive team covering a wide range of funding activities for the Collegiate University. Our rewarding work enables many students to attend the University who may otherwise have not been able to.

About the Role

The role will join the Postgraduate Funding Project sub-team who are tasked with delivering digital 'funding offers' over the next two years. This role is key to ensuring the smooth implementation and running of the new system by supporting staff members to use this new functionality to improve the student experience and secure the best applicants.

In addition to supporting users with the new offer making functionality the role will also be required to continue engaging stake holders to increase the number of users that the Funding Management Portal has. They will also become familiar with the offer making process in the team through supporting where needed gaining knowledge that will be key to developing the new system.

This varied and interesting role is vital to a smooth implementation of the work to support the application process from the point of application to Departmental assessment of applicants for funding through to the funding offer making process and securing the best applicants for the University.

The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of administrative functions across the Student Funding and Fee Policy team to gain an excellent foundation in how funding at the University works.

What you will need

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in an administrative role and preferably have some experience of student funding or scholarship administration. They will also have the ability to prioritise and self-manage their workload, to meet targets and deadlines, and be able to deal with pressure.

They will have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and an ability to quickly learn new records and reporting systems.

They should be educated to HND/HNC, Level 4/5 vocational qualifications or have the equivalent level of practical experience.

They will have excellent organisational and administrative skills, written communication skills, which will be assessed via a written task if shortlisted for an interview.
