Fundraising Assistant
About the role
As a Fundraising Assistant, you'll work at the centre of a fast-paced fundraising environment, supporting senior fundraisers and helping to deliver projects, events and donor engagement activity across the University. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in fundraising, higher education, stakeholder engagement or operations, whether you are building on existing experience or looking to grow in a new direction.
You'll gain exposure to high-profile projects, international engagement and strategic relationship management, while building valuable experience in administration, communications and operational delivery.
What you'll do:
- Manage complex diaries, meetings, international travel and high-profile events.
- Support senior fundraisers with donor engagement, briefing materials and project coordination.
- Build and maintain accurate fundraising records, reports and tracking systems.
- Help improve processes and support the smooth running of fundraising operations.
- Act as a key point of contact for donors, volunteers, academics and University leaders.
- Provide administrative and financial support across a busy and collaborative team.
What we're looking for:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to manage tasks and contribute ideas.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to managing information and processes.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and databases; experience with CRM or fundraising systems is beneficial but not necessary.
- A professional approach when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Someone who enjoys working collaboratively while also using initiative independently.
