Job Summary

Teach Chem 103 (General Chemistry I), Chem 104 (General Chemistry II), or Chem 109 (Advanced General Chemistry)

Duties include:

• Preparing course materials
• Presenting lectures
• Preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework
• Holding office hours
• Other related duties

This is a 50% appointment for the Fall 2026 semester. There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach General Chemistry or similar courses, within the department.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
