The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a General Maintenance Worker, Senior. The Incumbent performs a variety of skilled activities in one or more of the building trades. Included are rough, and finished carpentry; the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment; the repair and servicing of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning systems; the maintaining and repairing of plumbing fixtures and systems. Perform related work as required. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION:

This recruitment will establish an eligibility list valid for 6 months and will be used to fill current and future vacancies.

Type of position: Full-Time (The current vacancy work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Salary: Range CL-34

$26.97 - $33.72 Hourly

$4,674 - $5,845 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)

Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($26.97 per hour) or B ($28.52 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Increasingly responsible experience in the building trades.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license and ability to qualify for district vehicle insurance coverage.
