Global Trips Associate (Secondment)
We are delighted to be offering a one-year secondment opportunity for current University of Cambridge staff to join Development and Alumni Relations as our Global Trips Associate.
You'll help coordinate a complex programme of high-profile international visits supporting Cambridge's global engagement and fundraising ambitions as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising campaign. These visits will involve University leaders, key supporters, alumni, donors and partners around the world, giving you the opportunity to work across a wide range of teams and engage with senior stakeholders across the University.
Why this role? Why now?
This is an exciting time to join Cambridge as we prepare to launch one of the most ambitious fundraising campaigns in the University's history. University leaders will be travelling extensively to key international markets to build momentum, strengthen relationships and deliver campaign launch activity.
As Global Trips Associate, you'll be at the heart of making these visits happen. You'll bring together multiple teams, stakeholders and objectives, making sure programmes are carefully planned, everyone is well briefed and opportunities are maximised.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate complex international visits from initial planning through to delivery and follow-up.
- Bring together itineraries, briefings, country specific information, visas and other supporting materials.
- Work closely with colleagues across development, alumni engagement, events and the wider University to ensure activity is joined up and delivered effectively.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, tracking actions and ensuring plans and deadlines stay on track.
- Provide advice and guidance on international travel, logistics, risk and operational requirements.
Who we're looking for:
We're looking for an organised, proactive and confident colleague with experience coordinating complex international travel, logistics, programmes or similar projects. You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities and have the judgement and problem-solving skills to anticipate challenges and find solutions.
You'll have:
- Significant experience coordinating complex travel, logistics or similar projects involving multiple people.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders with travel or programme activity.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex schedules.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence working with senior colleagues and external partners.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality documentation.
- Experience developing or improving processes, systems or guidance.
- The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
